Normally I don’t squat ATG because my back would always give out and keep me out of my lifts for weeks (in short, poor form). However, after my shoulder injury, I couldn’t load my back squats and had to stick with front squats. But, if I can’t do heavy loads, I might as well challenge my ROM. So, I did slower ATG front squats focusing on good core control so that I did not hyperextend or flex too much at 135 lbs.
This was done after doing some core stabilization moves to find out where neutral was.
Overall, they felt good but will need to be more careful going forward as I can see myself getting careless and injuring myself.
